[Travel] - Bangkok, Thailand

Catch me...if you can :)

Off to my next adventure!

Had long been wanting to go for a short vacay and this last minute invite from my colleagues who's also in photography was just perff and right on time.

It was a heck of an adventure as I was able to conquer my fear of traveling alone and survived wandering around in a foreign land hehe.

too much clouds = turbulence :(

after working 12 hours night shift, went home to grab some clothes, boarded the 12noon flight and I'm finally here!

just like Philippines :)

Off to Bangkok's weekend flea market. Which means? Shoppiiing! :p

Eeeeeeek! I want one! :(

Dinner @ Baiyoke Sky Hotel. Rising 88-storeys above Bangkok’s skyline, is Thailand’s tallest (as of 2011) hotel.

Of course I wouldn't miss Bangkok's tourist attractions before heading back to SG. So on the day of my flight I left the hotel as early as 7:45am, hopped on a cab and asked the driver to take me to the nearest temple. After about 20 mins drive, he then announced we're here!

Tadaaa! The Grand Palace.

I have to ask a lot of strangers to take a pic of me. Thanks to all of them :)

My second destination was Wat Pho, which shelters the largest Buddha image in Thailand: the Reclining Buddha.

Must take your shoes off when entering Wat Pho.

The Reclining Buddha is 46 meters long and 15 meters high.

His body is covered in gold plating and he is decorated with mother-of-pearl inlay on his eyes and the soles of his feet.

a line of 108 brass pots against the wall leading to the exit.

Dropping coins on these bowls is said to bring goodwill to the devotee.

saw this @ Suvarnabhumi Airport.
